Ann Wilson links Ann Wilson, with sister Nancy, was the creative spark behind Heart, a hard-rock group who found success in the mid-'70s, only to reach greater heights with a comeback a decade later. Ann never took any formal lessons, but learned to play several instruments. Perhaps her best attribute is her trademark voice. An influence and inspiration for many of today's top female singers, Ann Wilson and Heart's music sold platinum both in the 1970s and 1980s, including the hits "Barracuda" and "These Dreams."
