Considered by many to be one of the founding fathers of Rock 'n' Roll, Ike Turner fused blues, country and lots of R&B starting with his Sun Records recordings. A 19-year-old Turner and his band "The Kings of Rhythm" sold 500K of their first single Rocket 88 in 1951. After 50 years of legendary recordings and touring, Turner released what many feel is the best album of his career, the Grammy-nominated Here and Now in 2001. In addition to RockWalk, Turner is an inductee of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Blues Hall of Fame.
