Los Angeles band Toto, a collection of some of the industry's best players, came together in 1978 and proceeded to live in the Top Ten for most of the next decade. Beset by some tragic circumstances, the group's members spent their off-time with session work, lending their talents to many other artists. Multi Grammy-winners for their hit album "Toto IV," they established themselves as a top pop act of the 1980s.
