The Surfaris links
The Surfaris gave the world "Wipe Out," the number two 1963 hit that ranks as one of the great rock instrumentals, featuring a classic up-and-down guitar riff and a classic solo drum roll break. Their musicianship helped them rise above the crop of surf bands from California that invaded the charts in the 1960s.
